About the Project

The Granite City to St. Louis Study will consist of a detailed environmental analysis, resulting in a Tier 2 Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). This evaluation will assess new double track approaches to an increased capacity Mississippi River crossing, which will improve capacity and reliability for increased service.

Public Involvement Program

An important component of the Tier 2 Granite City to St. Louis Study is public involvement. The core of this effort is to keep you well informed about the project and notified of important milestones, including public meetings, hearings, and events.

Public Meetings

A Public Scoping Meeting held in early 2014 served as the project kickoff, presenting the draft project purpose and need and providing an opportunity for the public to provide comments.
